The employer is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and patient individual to ensure a safe and supportive living environment. The position is open to all eligible Canadian and permanent resident workers.
Responsibilities
1. Provide daily personal care and emotional support to the elderly client, ensuring comfort and reassurance.
2. Assist with mobility, including safe walking, transferring, and positioning.
3. Help with bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, and hygiene-related tasks.
4. Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals, including special dietary requirements as directed by healthcare professionals.
5. Assist with feeding to ensure proper nutrition and hydration.
6. Provide medication reminders and assist with basic health-related tasks under professional guidance.
7. Perform routine housekeeping duties such as laundry, dish-washing, room tidying, and bed-making.
8. Accompany the client to medical appointments, follow-up visits, and diagnostic tests, ensuring safe and comfortable transportation and effective communication with healthcare providers.
Qualifications
1. Completion of secondary school or equivalent.
2. Previous experience in caregiving, home support, or senior care is an asset.
3. Ability to provide respectful, patient, and compassionate care to seniors.
4. Organized, clean, and able to maintain a safe home environment.
5. Strong communication skills for interaction with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals.
6. Basic knowledge of personal care assistance, meal preparation, medication reminders, and safe mobility practices.
7. Physical ability to perform caregiving duties, including lifting, assisting with mobility, and housekeeping tasks.
8. Reliable, responsible, observant, and able to promptly report changes in the client’s condition.
